The NEST is Now Open

Last Friday, we publicly unveiled our innovation showroom, the NEST. This is a community space dedicated to discovery, curiosity, and excitement - a venue where we can share our passion for biobased materials and boundary-pushing products directly with you. 

To kick things off with a bang, we premiered our new snowboard film HARDWIRED (more on that later) and invited the entire Wasatch backcountry community to join us in revelry. Wasatch Backcountry Alliance, Save A Brain, and Utah Avalanche Center all came through to support the opening, with 100% of our entry fees going to these nonprofit partners. What’s more, a guest appearance and ribbon cutting hosted by Salt Lake City’s mayor made the night even more incredible. 

But now that the official party is over, it's time to keep the excitement going. The NEST is a place to celebrate the passion, science, and creativity behind everything we make.

The NEST is the spot where you can check out all of our skis and boards in person and get expert advice on the perfect setup, directly from the people that design, build, and test our equipment on site. 

When it comes time to get equipped, we’ll custom mount your bindings, trim your skins, and get you perfectly dialed for your first outing aboard your new backcountry tools.

It’s one thing to hear about turning oil from microalgae into custom made materials, designing and testing these materials to optimize performance in skis and boards, and then fabricating these unique skis and boards in house. But wouldn’t you like to see it firsthand? 

The NEST offers a look into the biobased materials that make up our products and serves as the gateway to all of the innovation going on in the Design Lab located immediately behind the NEST. If you want to see us designing and building our products by hand, just schedule a tour.

The inspiration and mindset for a beautiful backcountry outing starts at the NEST. If you sign up for this winter’s WNDR Roost, expect to make full use of this new facility. From last minute gear tweaks to pre-dawn prep, the NEST will be a space for us to gather before we head for the peaks.
