Ascendance

This is the time of year that we transition from ski building to skiing. We pull fresh boards out of the press and our hearts beat faster, eagerly anticipating first tracks. 

As the seasons shift and snow blankets the mountains, we ascend into the high alpine surroundings above our home and push ourselves to new heights. We push into the unknown, using skis as our vehicle to rise higher.

We immerse ourselves in Nature, distinctly aware of every subtlety: the way our skis slice through fresh snow, the way they hover and float over every undulation in the terrain. Our quads burn, the wind stings our cheeks, and we turn back uphill for more.
