The Reason thrives equally in deep powder fields and pillows as it does amidst a spine-laden massif. Its medium stiffness profile and smooth rocker lines in conjunction with our finely tuned Algal Core and Algal Wall, work seamlessly together to provide a stable and fluid platform that still excels in less than optimal conditions.
The Reason 120 is our widest shape, designed for flotation first and foremost, but with plenty of materials science wizardry up its sleeve. Its medium flex, tighter sidecut, and smooth rocker profile integrate beautifully with our stability-enhancing Algal Core and Algal Wall, creating a buoyant backcountry tool that’s deceptively capable in a wide range of snow conditions.

The award-winning Vital 98 pays homage to its predecessor by improving upon its precise and stable platform. We further optimized its strength-to-weight ratio and tightened the turn radius for added engagement when you need it most. By slightly increasing the Vital’s tip stiffness and extending the running surface, stability at speed has been improved. The inclusion of our updated Spiral Plate creates a more even flex from tip to tail, while the Algal Core and Algal Wall reduce weight and vibration. A all-new aluminum tail block improves tail clip retention and easily punches through stubborn layers in the snowpack - a massive benefit to anchor building or tail jab kick turns in steep terrain.
