bringing the backcountry community together
WNDR Roost events were created to bring the backcountry community together to share, discover, explore, learn, sweat, and experience the beauty of backcountry skiing in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. Skiing with the growing WNDR Alpine community at last year’s WNDR Roost was an incredible experience. When the dust had settled, we immediately knew we had to grow and expand the event. Let’s Roost!
WNDR WOMEN ROOST
For our first Roost of the season, the name says it all. This is a 3 day, women’s backcountry touring event, hosted and led by Melissa Gill and additional Friends of WNDR (FOW) in Utah’s Wasatch Range.
This is not your typical guided backcountry skiing event. Rather, it’s an opportunity to grow, ascend, and charge hard together with the WNDR Alpine community and our close knit crew of FOW.
EVENT DETAILS

Included

• Conversations about terrain assessment, communication, individual strengths that contribute to
group dynamics, and more.

Bring your mat!
• Snow safety - We will gather each morning to discuss the forecast for the day with Utah Avalanche
Center’s Nikki Champion.

Inappropriate safety equipment, or lack of ability to use this equipment may bar you from participation.
• You are responsible for your own transportation and lodging.
• If you purchase within our given window, your name will be entered, and you will receive an
invite via your email.
• Additionally, expect to sign a liability waiver and model release form,
as we may film some of our skiing.
• We are planning this event with regard to necessary social distancing protocol.
You can expect us to take this safety measure seriously in the execution of all aspects of the Roost.
