2024 Snowboards Are Here!
Can you believe that WNDR Alpine is now four years old? That’s right - having battled our way through our terrible twos and tyrannical threes, we’re now a four year old brand, with four year old experiences and lofty four year old ambitions.
We’d like to think that the collective decades of experience on our team makes us pretty mature for age four, but in reality, we’re doing exactly what any growing four year old should be up to: expanding our horizons, learning as fast as we can, and diving into new experiences with wide-eyed curiosity and a healthy helping of wonder.
In the last month, we’ve revealed our initial exploration into biobased apparel technology with the Phase Series - a line of multisport apparel that utilizes microalgae oil as the key ingredient in a petroleum-free wicking finish.
Today, we find ourselves in a stoke-inducing moment of expansion: launching a new line of split and solid earth surfing devices that we’ve refined through biotechnology, materials science, and of course, thrashing our prototypes in the best (and worst) conditions Nature could throw at us.
Our 2024 boards lineup is equipped for a greater diversity of environments (and athletes and fun hogs) than ever before. Scroll down and discover the all-new Shepherd and newly refined Belle series…
ALL-NEW Shepherd and Shepherd Tour
While most have heard tales of the bearded nomad tackling remote lines all over the snow globe, few people get the privilege to work together with Nick Russell on visioning and creating a snowboard from the ground up. Now that we have, we’re honored to have had the experience.
Developed in both a solid and split configuration, the Shepherd represents Nick’s visionary approach to technical freeride snowboarding.
And, if your daily backcountry pursuits are less hair-raising than Nick’s, take note: the beauty of the Shepherd’s design is that the board’s quick turn initiation makes it a supportive, playful companion for slashing through tight trees, and playing around at any speed, in any snowpack. This board's shape was thoughtfully designed with a wide shovel nose adding plenty of float while the round tail is a bit narrower and agile making it seamless to turn and make intuitive decisions while riding your favorite lines in the high alpine or or through those deep days in low angle trees. This board is rooted in surfing earth.
The BelleAire and BelleTour
Rounding out the lineup are the BelleAire and BelleTour. Both boards live on in their respective solid and split configurations, with a refined core that drops the previous weight ~300g. A stiff nose and tail reduce chatter, while a medium flex through the body of the board optimizes energy transfer from edge to edge. Directional camber, early rise in the nose, and a wider waist width allow this board to arc beautiful turns, while maintaining stability when you need it. It's truly an all mountain freeride dream for all conditions.
Charge the mountain and rail every turn. The Belle rips with speed and jumps with joy.
