Algal Wall - Know the Data

Usually, we tell stories focusing on the experience of skiing, whether it’s an invite to a WNDR-exclusive ski meetup, or an adventure recap from an FOW across the globe.
But today, we’re getting nerdy.
Our biobased Algal Wall is the first sidewall that was purpose-built for backcountry skiing, using biology, chemistry, and materials science. Because of its biobased origins, we can tune its properties specifically for our needs as skiers, in a way that we never could have with mass-produced, petroleum-based ski materials.
This motto is more than a passing hashtag. "Tread Light, Charge Hard" stands for renewably built materials that are engineered specifically to help you ski harder. Salt Lake City, UT. Photo: Pep Fujas (@pepfujas)
Performance-focused materials open the door to a better backcountry experience. Algal Wall delivers greater strength at low temperatures and absorbs impact from skiing harsh snow better than traditional ABS sidewalls. Click below to see what makes Algal Wall so good.
