"Construit pour les skieurs aventureux qui voient la montagne comme leur terrain de jeu, le nouveau 108 présente un rayon de virage légèrement plus court et un flex plus constant que son prédécesseur, une plateforme fiable pour booster les falaises et effectuer des virages rapides." - Magazine Freeskier

Intention 108 Full Rocker Rocks!

The reverse camber is a game changer. I use these skis as back country powder skis and they are amazing. Excellent in the pow, but also handle zipper crust, wind packed snow, breakable crust better than most any other ski I've ever had. The skis don't want to go different directions. They want to stay together, parallel, making it easy to negotiate sub=optimal snow. I also took these to the resort and skid steep groomers. The reverse camber does fine on flat groomed runs and steep hard pack.

I had been looking for an all-around PNW ski to handle both the challenging and wonderful conditions we can get (heavy pow, crusty trees, etc) with the intention of using them for resort skiing, lift-accessed backcountry, and powder day bc skis.

Immediately after taking these downhill I felt like a more confident skier. They charge through variable snow, float through lighter snow, plant like crazy when landing, and are surprisingly easy to shift and turn around in tight trees despite being pretty long. I haven't tried the cambered version, but the reverse camber really seems to enable you to quickly pivot around obstacles without making it any less of a charger. My set up is quite heavy for full BC days (i've only done like 3.5k up on them so far) but with a pin binding I could see these being very capable for longer days.

My one gripe is that the reverse camber only comes in a white topsheet. It marks up really easily and I had one of the skis pop while skiing powder and it was tough to find which scared the hell out of me.

Hi Jared, thanks so much for the review. So glad to hear you're digging the reverse cambers! It's my favorite ski we make as well. Appreciate the feedback on the topsheet as well. We went with white to help ensure snow wouldn't stick to them on those warmer days. But, definitely a double edged sword when you lose a shoe in deep snow. Glad you were able to track it down and we will keep that feedback in mind for the future.

Ski ya!

I think the best description for how this ski skis is the description above. There are many descriptions that the brand puts out that mean little to nothing about how the ski feels under your feet. Words like "stable", "balanced", "composed", and "forgiving" all make more sense after I skied this ski in challenging conditions.

Challenging conditions are where a ski lets you know who they truely are and the Intention 108 is a "yes man".
Deep pow? Yes.
Ripping GS turns on groomers? Yes.
Tight crusty trees? Yes.
Grabby wind slab? Yes.
Swizzly dad turns? Yes.
Jumping off of things? Yes.

This ski seems to just do what you think rather than you having to focus on any particular piece of form or technique. It intuitively follows your style and purpose. If you set your intention, this ski will help you manifest it.

Bought a pair of reverse camber Intention 108 skis for the 23/24 season in AK. Skied them all over the Anchorage area and never found a condition where they weren’t fun to ski. With the width and shape these skis undoubtedly ski powder well. They are very surfy and can easily slip sideways and dump speed. What surprised me the most was how well they ski crud, punchy wind board, and ice. The tip flex and rocker encouraged leaning into the tips and letting them ride up and over anything. Even with breakable wind board the tips would ride up and over, yet the tails wouldn't hook. On ice, the stiff platform underfoot was sure footed and confidence inspiring. As the quiver grows these will be my go to ski for unknown conditions.

My only complaint is that the skis are SLOW! In 20 years of BC skiing I’ve never had to religiously wax my skis. Despite waxing these skis for the conditions I never had as much glide as my ski partners. I believe the factory grind is too coarse for cold dry snow. I will be getting a finer base grind for the 24/25 season 🤞. Otherwise I’d give them 5 stars.

jack of all trades! excellent ski

Costal British Columbia skier here with 10 seasons of touring. after one full season on the reverse camber 108s, I can say these are best backcountry skis I've ever owned(have used atomic, g3, DPS, Rossi, etc). Super playful and fun in pow, can still hold an edge on hardpack/groomers and feels more damp/stable then my resort skis but without the weight. Reverse camber makes them very nimble in tighter trees but they have no problem making high speed super G turns in pow or on groomers. I was a bit hesitant as they were slightly heavier then my DPS Pagoda Tours, but the increase in confidence, edge hold and stability is WELL worth it. a daily driver for any PNW skier.
