« Le Nocturne n'est pas seulement un outil suffisamment léger pour se déplacer efficacement sur de vastes terrains, il offre également la stabilité, le caractère ludique et le point de montage progressif que j'attends d'un ski alpin WNDR. Je n’aurai plus besoin de sacrifier les performances en descente, car ce ski trouve l’équilibre entre les montées et les descentes, ouvrant ainsi le paysage alpin à des possibilités infinies ! » -Paul Greenwood

    Best touring skis I've owned

I don't normally write product reviews, but these skis are actually amazing. I got a pair of the Nocturne 88s earlier this season (with an ATK raider 13 binding), basically looking to add a narrower/uphill oriented ski for low tide days or big missions with questionable snow. So far, it's been great uphill as expected, but far exceeded my hopes on the downhill. It's super stable, almost like a resort ski that happens to tour. (I took it for a resort test day, and it ripped.) It's easy to maneuver, which has been great in the trees. In shin-deep PNW powder it very much held its own despite being narrow. Can't think of any conditions I wouldn't be excited to ski this in. No downsides discovered yet. If you're on the fence, I do highly recommend this ski. Thanks WNDR

    Great skis for Shasta

Used my Nocturne 88’s to climb and ski Mt. Shasta. They absolutely ripped! My new favorite ski of all time. I was concerned on the shorter length I chose but ended up thankful in some tight areas we decided to ski on the west face. I am amazed in the stability of these skis, I find full carbon skis to be too whippy. The 88 is perfectly damp and comfortable in hard variable conditions.

So epic to hear! Congrats on the summit and amazing day out, that's what those skis were made for! Here's to many more spring summits and ripping descents. Glad to have the Peak Sports crew along for the ride! Thanks for the review.

    Apprehensive? I was, too.

After a winter on big, reverse camber skis (usually ranging from 120-132mm underfoot) and in deep powder, I was very skeptical about these Nocturne 88’s. I mean, I haven’t skied something this skinny since…2005?! Anyway, now that spring has rolled around, the snowpack has gone diurnal, and I’m spending lots of time walking uphill, it turns out that the Nocturne is absolutely the way to go. Obviously a skinnier, lighter weight ski is optimal for long tours and for carrying on the back (hello scrappy ski mountaineering adventure), but what I didn’t expected was how well these would perform on the downhill. Wow, they’re so stable, hold an edge, and ride through corn and variable snow like no other! Don’t be apprehensive like I was, these are amazing skis from an amazing company.

Thanks for the love and support, Emilie! That's the kind of experience we made those skis for. Hope you have a WNDRful spring on them. See you back on the wider planks again soon enough!

I've spent years avoiding skis like this as I have tried lots of bigger lightweight skis to find that they are unpredictable in chunder and didn't have predictable releases when you wanted it, so were never worth cutting weight to have that experience.

One lap around the spearhead on these bad boys and I was sold. Stable, predictable and confidence inspiring - they ski like a scaled down big ski vs a lightweight nightmare! (Also, surprisingly surfy in deeper snow too)

    Great ski 🫡
