Intention 108 RC x 2

Feel extremely grateful that I have been able to transform my quiver this year so that I have two pairs of intentions. One with mnc alpine bindings and one with g3 for touring. Both compatible with hoji frees. Being able to use the same ski/boot combo for alta and touring has been life changing. I never realized you can have that level of control and confidence in variable snow touring. If you want maximum confidence downhill and are okay with a lil extra training weight, this ski will enable many best days ever

Intention 108 camber

These are my all mountain skis. Have had them in the trees, on groomers and in powder. Super fun and very responsive. I also have the Reason 120 for deep powder days however these are extremely fun as they go through the powder giving some nice face hits. Best skis ever

Best mid-winter daily driver out there

I picked up the Intention 108 reverse camber and I’m not sure I’ll ever ski a cambered ski as a mid-winter daily driver in the backcountry again.

It’s obviously location-dependent, and I mainly ski soft snow in the Wasatch, but having skied these in horrendous sun baked cream cheese as well as boilerplate ice and breakable crust, these are the safest and most enjoyable ski in variable conditions. In perfect powder they are infinitely surfy and fun. I usually ski a 184ish resort ski, but the 176 length is perfect for kick turns and tight backcountry terrain while still floating great in powder.

Lastly, the weight of the ski makes it perfectly balanced and is a feature, not a detriment. My previous mid-fat skis (K2 Wayback 106) were 300g lighter and 300% less fun. The Intentions pair great with a light binding like an ATK Crest 10 evo.

Intention 108 Full Rocker Rocks!

The reverse camber is a game changer. I use these skis as back country powder skis and they are amazing. Excellent in the pow, but also handle zipper crust, wind packed snow, breakable crust better than most any other ski I've ever had. The skis don't want to go different directions. They want to stay together, parallel, making it easy to negotiate sub=optimal snow. I also took these to the resort and skid steep groomers. The reverse camber does fine on flat groomed runs and steep hard pack.

Reverse Camber

I had been looking for an all-around PNW ski to handle both the challenging and wonderful conditions we can get (heavy pow, crusty trees, etc) with the intention of using them for resort skiing, lift-accessed backcountry, and powder day bc skis.

Immediately after taking these downhill I felt like a more confident skier. They charge through variable snow, float through lighter snow, plant like crazy when landing, and are surprisingly easy to shift and turn around in tight trees despite being pretty long. I haven't tried the cambered version, but the reverse camber really seems to enable you to quickly pivot around obstacles without making it any less of a charger. My set up is quite heavy for full BC days (i've only done like 3.5k up on them so far) but with a pin binding I could see these being very capable for longer days.

My one gripe is that the reverse camber only comes in a white topsheet. It marks up really easily and I had one of the skis pop while skiing powder and it was tough to find which scared the hell out of me.

Hi Jared, thanks so much for the review. So glad to hear you're digging the reverse cambers! It's my favorite ski we make as well. Appreciate the feedback on the topsheet as well. We went with white to help ensure snow wouldn't stick to them on those warmer days. But, definitely a double edged sword when you lose a shoe in deep snow. Glad you were able to track it down and we will keep that feedback in mind for the future.

Ski ya!
