“The Nocturne is not only a tool light enough to move through vast terrain efficiently, it also provides the stability, playfulness and progressive mount point I expect from a WNDR Alpine ski. No longer will I need to sacrifice downhill performance, as this ski finds the balance of up and down, opening up the canvas of the alpine for endless possibilities!” - Paul Greenwood

Available Skis include:

  • Camber 166 cm

Breathing life and joy into the alpine sufferfest, The Nocturne’s minimal weight allows you to go the distance, but features more freeride oriented geometry.  The slightly rockered tails, progressive mount point and medium turn radius enables a freeride-inspired approach to technical terrain. The aluminum tail block shape is designed to easily penetrate stubborn snowpack on a techy skin track or when you’re setting up a ski anchor. Aided by our stability-enhancing Algal Core and Algal Wall, these attributes facilitate balanced hop turns and swift descents from distant places.

    • Lengths: 166, 172, 178, 184 cm
    • Dimensions (Tip-Waist-Tail): 117-88-108 mm
    • Radius: 19 m @ 178 cm
    • Weight (per ski): 1500 g @ 178 cm
    • Flex: Medium stiff - The tail progressively gets stiffer, transitioning through the mid section and decreasing gradually toward the tip. This flex pattern creates a solid platform for stability in the tail and underfoot while the medium tip flex handles crud and variable conditions with ease.
    • Profile: Rocker-Camber-Rocker
    • Intended Use: High alpine, big missions, freeski-mountaineering
    • Artist: Christian Johansen
    • Designed, developed, tested and assembled in Salt Lake City, Utah

Should Have Named Them "The Rippers"

Look, I get it, they name skis to go with the whole "mission ethic" of the company and "Nocturne" is a sweet name for a pair of sticks. BUT, and hear me out here, with the way these things ride they really should have just called them "Rippers" because regardless of what you're cruising through (early morning groomers, corn, pow, etc., etc.) they RIP. PERIOD. Soft feel with ZERO chatter, effortless turn capability, and the weight is juuust right for hiking up to that untracked line. Do yourself a favor and just add a pair of these rippers to your quiver, you won't regret it.
